Find out more about:
The RDRA
The RDRA is the voice of the Rārangi Community. We are a very active organisation with a strong core of voluntary committee members. We are focussed on helping the Rārangi community maintain a sense of cohesion, caring and belonging.
We have several voluntary groups working actively in the community. Find out what they are up to and how to join if you wish to become involved.
Rārangi Dawn Chorus
The Rārangi Dawn Chorus is our very own “predator-free” Rārangi group. It’s volunteers are responsible for setting and maintaining the predator traps around the Whites Bay Hills and the Hinepango Wetland area.
You only need to take a walk along the Hinepango walkway to see the beautiful restoration work and replanting that has been done by the Hinepango Wetland Group. Work is on-going.
In addition to being a local emergency response team The Rārangi Volunteer Fire Brigade has been an integral part of the Rārangi community since its establishment in 1960.
